Once you have completed your research and written your essay, you can use SCRATCH technology to teach others what you’ve learned…
- You may use SCRATCH to create a project, game, brief video, or other media-based presentation in which you describe an invention or innovation
- You may use SCRATCH to show how an an environmental challenge in New Jersey can be solved. For example, noise pollution, over-reliance on fossil fuels, water pollution, or protecting endangered wildlife in New Jersey.
- You may use it to create a SCRATCH project, game, brief video or other media-based presentation in which you describe a scientific or technological invention or innovation that enhances the quality of life for the people of New Jersey.
- You may use it to create a SCRATCH-based game in which the overall goal is to achieve a brighter, happier, healthier, and cleaner environment for New Jersey.You may use SCRATCH to demonstrate how a major event in New Jersey’s history that has greatly affected our climate, whether it be for the better or worse.
- Or whatever you come up with!!
To work with SCRATCH…
1. Watch the SCRATCH tutorials provided to get ideas and learn the skills you’ll need to create your project
2. Conduct your research using online, printed and in-person resources
3. Write up your project outline
4. Once your teacher has approved your work, build your project
