ENVIRONMENT
New Jersey is a peninsula containing diverse natural environments from our urban cities to our beaches and shoreline, from the Delaware bay to the northwest Skylands. It is home to 8.5 million people and thousands of species of wildlife. Our environmental challenges are many.
1. Research and write an essay about an organization or group that is working to help New Jersey’s environment. What do they do, how do they do it, what are their challenges?
2. Research and write an essay about a New Jersey company or business that has used its resources and technology to reduce pollution or create sustainable energy solutions. How did they do so and were they successful? What challenges did they encounter?
3. Research and write an essay that describes how you would positively impact New Jersey’s natural environment. What challenges exist where you live and how would you help meet those challenges?
