New Jersey is the land of innovation and invention. Many famous discoveries and inventions happened here in the Garden State.
1. Research and write an essay about a famous scientist or inventor who lived or worked here in New Jersey. Describe their contribution to NJ and the world, what problem(s) did their work solve, what problems did it cause (if any), and what challenges did they encounter?
2. Research and write an essay describing how scientists from New Jersey cooperated with scientists from other parts of the world to make life better through their invention. How did this invention improve things? What negative impact did it have (if any)? What were the benefits of working together? What were the problems of working together?
3. Research and write an essay describing a science-related New Jersey company whose business is based on ongoing scientific discovery. What discoveries or inventions are credited to this company and how have they made life better for the people of New Jersey and/or around the world?
