Spotlight: Kristen Tempera

Kristen Tempera has joined the Celebrate NJ! team this Spring as an Intern!  She is currently a junior at Rutgers University.  She is a History major and hopes to pursue her Masters in Special Education.  Kristen was born in Staten Island, New York and moved to Spotswood, New Jersey when she was three years old.  At her Preschool Graduation, her teacher predicted she would become a teacher and that has stuck with her throughout her life.  Kristen has been working with children since she was 15 years old at Spotswood Recreation and C.A.R.E.S Summer Camp and After-school Programs.  At Rutgers she is very involved with her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha.  She has served on the Panhellenic Council for the past two years as the Director of Community Outreach, and is currently the President.  The Panhellenic Council is the governing body for all the sororities at Rutgers University.  She looks forward to interning for Celebrate NJ! this spring so she can become more educated about the state she grew up in!
