Celebrate New Jersey’s Birthday with us!
June 2, 2009
New Jersey’s 345th Birthday is this month and there’s going to be a party!
Join us as guests of Governor Corzine, Secretary Wells and Commissioner Davyon Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at the NJ State Museum from 2-4PM for the festivities!
There will be birthday cake and lots more, including a special award to 12 Celebrate NJ! student authors whose work has been selected as “outstanding” by our judges. Equally as exciting, two priceless historical documents will be on display: the actual June 24, 1664 royal grant that established New Jersey, and a rare original copy of the Declaration of Independence printed July 4, 1776.
All are welcome to attend. RSVP to 609-777-0881. For more information contact Marc Mappen at the NJ Historical Commission at 609-984-0902. Parking is available at the State House garage.
